Senior Pastor

After graduating from Bible College in 1986 and serving for two years in churches in the Dallas/Ft. Worth area Pastor John felt God leading him to Bastrop with the sole purpose of planting a church. Single and at 23 yrs. of age Pastor John held his first Sunday service in Bastrop in March of 88. Pastor John thought he would only be in the Bastrop area for a few years but God had different plans, it has been 33 years that he has been the pastor of Celebration Community Church. He has a beautiful wife, Vicky, and five wonderful children. His heart’s desire is to see others have a genuine, personal, life changing encounter with Christ.

Associate Pastor

Ronald’s passion for ministry began at 14 when he first served as a youth leader at LovingWord Fellowship in Houston, Texas. In 2021, he and his wife Lauryn felt called by God to move to Bastrop and serve the local community. Ronald is currently pursuing a degree in Ministry at Christ For The Nations and serves as Associate Pastor at Celebration, where he leads youth and young families. He also serves as Vice President of the Bastrop Christian Ministerial Alliance. Ronald and Lauryn are blessed with three wonderful daughters.

Childrens Director

Lauryn felt God’s call to serve in children’s ministry in 2020, when she began volunteering at her church. After her family moved to Bastrop in 2021, they started attending Celebration in 2023, where Lauryn soon became aware of the open Children’s Director position. After months of prayer with her husband, Ron, Lauryn felt led by God to step into that role. Lauryn’s heart is fully devoted to kids, and she believes it is our greatest responsibility to teach them the living gospel in ways they can understand. As Children’s Director, her primary focus is to create classes and curricula that bring this vision to life.

Worship Pastor

Ben has been a Christ follower since childhood and has spent most of his life playing and singing in church. He believes that the worship God desires must be done in spirit and in truth.  Being a professional musician, who teaches, performs, and leads worship, he knows it is critical to carry our faith into all aspects of life.  Ben has been the worship leader at Celebration for nearly a decade now, and believes that the best days are still ahead if we walk in humility and keep Jesus first.

Executive Pastor

Max Bricka is a tri-vocational Pastor, Realtor® and Certified Master Financial Coach Since his baptism in 1991, he has dedicated his life of Christian service to: assisting others to grow in Christ; healing and deliverance ministry; financial counseling; 8 years as a full-time Administrative & Executive Pastor; prison ministry and serving  on the Board of Directors' for several local ministries.  His mission trips include Mexico and 9 trips to Kenya, Africa.  Outside of helping others, Max's passion is scuba diving.

Technology Pastor

Jerry serves a staff Pastor and the Technical Director with a passion for loving people in our church and the community.  He has over 40 years experience in Church leadership serving in various roles including Youth Pastor, children’s & family ministry, and biblical studies teacher.  He has served at Celebration Community since 1999, retired from Verizon after 32 years in Information Technology, has four married children, enjoys camping, hiking, watching the Cowboys, and spending time with his grandkids. ​
